An essential role in society

The Gas Safety Trust is an important charity established in 2005 with an essential role in society. The mission of the Gas Safety Trust is to become the trusted source of evidence based fact for fuel safety information in the UK. The purpose of this is to inform decisions to improve fuel safety in the UK, with the ultimate goal of reducing death and serious injury.

It is the UK’s natural and authoritative choice for fuel safety information with key objectives of further improving gas/fossil fuel safety for the public and industry throughout the UK. It especially seeks to reduce the incidents of death and serious injury associated with carbon monoxide (CO) exposure.

The Trust works alongside relevant bodies to identify key issues, it sponsors and facilitates world-class research to improve the understanding of the key issues and it ensures that findings are used to improve the lives of people living in the UK.

The Trustees are committed to ensuring that The Gas Safety Trust information is totally reliable and that the charity is transparent and accessible.
