Dear Editor
NHIC SPRING 2005 PRESS PACKS
I am very pleased to welcome you to our special National Home Improvement Council Spring 2005 Press Pack. Once again it's in our new CD format which I hope is working well for you and your colleagues.
It contains many new generic articles covering domestic topics and advice including what to look for around the home after another winter has come to an end.
There is also an extensive “library” of NHIC Members' press releases providing much useful additional information. I hope you will feel free to use them wherever you see fit.
And if you require further information or images, please contact either me or the relevant NHIC Member on the special list of contacts which you will find elsewhere on this CD.
NHIC Members are always pleased to hear from you so do give them a ring. Your readers may be interested to know that many of our Members provide exclusive guarantees and consumer warranty schemes that are exclusive to their products and services. What's more they all adhere to the strictest codes of practice.
In addition, if there are any home improvement subjects that you would like
to feature in your pages but are not covered by our Press Pack, please let
me
know. We'll do our best to help.
Also on this CD you will find the new NHIC logo which we hope you may consider using whenever you publish one of the Press Pack articles, adding that extra touch of authenticity to your feature. You and your readers are also welcome to visit our website - www.nhic.org.uk/ - and use any of the information that’s available there.
As you know the NHIC is constantly highlighting all aspects of home improvement and lobbys government energetically on many related issues, not least of all the reduction of VAT on products and services related to home improvements. We continue to seek Treasury support in this respect.
As I mentioned before should you require further information on any aspect
of the NHIC or these articles you can contact me on 020 7828 8230 or Andrew
Leech on 01753 884216.
Yours faithfully
Graham S Ponting
