& Local Newspapers and Magazines
The NHIC Annual Awards are now in their 27th year and are a major event in the housing calendar. There are various categories for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Mortgage Lenders, but the category most important to the Media is the one for Regional/Local Newspapers and Magazines.
Regional/Local Newspapers and Magazines Category
This Award is given to the newspaper/magazine producing the best
Home Improvement Feature either in April or throughout the summer
months, preferably using the NHIC logo.
The winning publication will, in the opinion of the Assessors, have created the best editorial feature or supplement based on the NHIC generic material and Members' information contained in the Press Packs and elsewhere.
Although the Assessors will be looking for a number of features or a special supplement, this is only of partial importance. The Assessors will be particularly interested in the way the editorial material has been presented in order to create maximum impact on readers.

Whilst we appreciate that it is rather early days yet, we do like
to have some indication from the Media if they intend to enter
the 2002 NHIC Awards Scheme. This same procedure is used for all
other Categories. So although the final closing date for all entries
is 15th August 2003, it would be helpful if you could kindly complete
the entry form below, and fax or send it to:

The Award presentations take place in November at a special luncheon in London usually hosted by Lord Ezra, President of the NHIC.
