NHIC Annual Awards 2012 highlight superior energy efficiency and lower home running costs
A fine cross section of very worthy winners and runners up
Although times remain financially tough, there were 11 categories for this year’s National Home Improvement Council Annual Awards 2012. Plagues and certificates, presented by Lord Dykes at a special Awards luncheon, were an import reflection of the emphasis on home energy efficiency and saving running costs.
The chair for the event was Simon Storer, Director of External Affairs, Construction Products Association. He suggested that the construction industry continued to suffer from the current serious economical malaise and the CPA could not see this improving until 2014.
He hoped the Chancellor of the Exchequer would address this particular issue in his Autumn Statement on 5 December?
The luncheon was hosted by the NHIC’s President The Rt Hon Nick Raynsford MP. He said: “Our thanks must go to everyone who has taken part this year, especially the finalists and runners up, the Category Sponsors and all those who have kindly contributed to this very special occasion.
“We really appreciate your continued and valuable support.
“The importance of raising home energy efficiency and the significance of Green Deal opportunities are reflected in the achievements of today’s Award winners and runners up.”
The NHIC Annual Awards are presented for innovation and environmental consideration in the successful completion of projects and involving energy efficiency initiatives that help raise public awareness of the importance of home improvements.
