Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installers are always on the ball?

The NHIC is very impressed with the extent of the important advice and service which the Institute of Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom Installers (IKBBI) is making available to its members. This all adds up to providing a first class, reliable and highly efficient product for it customers in the private and public housing arenas.

For example, in conjunction with the Health & Safety Executive, IKBBI is drawing very close attention to the often ‘hidden killer’ asbestos. It points put that asbestos is found in many products used in every sort of building, including ceiling tiles, pipe insulation, boilers and sprayed coatings.

Many of them situations which IKBBI members could possible come across when providing a new installation in the average house.

IKBBI is frequently being asked by its members about unfair remedial charges made against them by retailers! Amongst other things, is says that ‘getting back to the smallest of remedials in good time can prevent the very worst scenarios!’

It also recommends that it’s members must be fully conversant with the law, particularly where the management of gas and electrics is concerned. IKBBI suggests there three simple checks that will an installer member ahead of the game and gain them respect from every good contractor!

Finally, IKBBI is even further raising its profile and member’s credibility in the highly competitive installation arena by the appointment of an agency called Publicity Engineers, a PR, marketing, events and design firm. It focuses on the home and interiors industry making it a very important ingredient in IKBBI’s further development and commitment to its members.
